On Line Design & Engineering is pleased to announce that it has today reached agreement for Brendan Conlan to join the Business as Managing Director on 1st February 2015. Many of you will be aware that Brendan has worked for Centrica Storage Limited for the past 9 years, first as a Contract Engineer working through OLDE, and since 2009 in a senior staff position as Engineering Manager and more recently as Operations Manager responsible for all the Rough Offshore Assets.
The appointment of Brendan will not only strengthen the Board in preparation for the future retirement of J Laird, but it will also bring a wealth of knowledge of the Offshore Oil and Gas industries together with Gas Processing and Storage experience. Prior to joining Centrica, Brendan worked for Thermatrix, Pfizer and various other Companies in Ireland, Germany, Denmark, Taiwan and Singapore.
Brendan graduated from the University of Paisley in 1990 with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and initially worked in the distilling business and at Fisher Rosemount’s in Leicester prior to joining the Kimberly-Clark Corporation where he worked on various projects in Canada, the USA and Mexico in addition to being heavily involved in the Design, Installation and commissioning of the £151M Barton upon Humber Factory.
Brendan is a resident of Healing where he lives with his partner Angie and two sons, Cameron and Fraser. Although a native of Scotland, he is committed to the local area having lived here for over 20 years, and in addition to being on the board of HCF he is also on the board of the new UTC at Scunthorpe.
