On Line appoints Business Development Manager

On Line Design are pleased to announce that Paul Lawrence will be joining the Company as Business Development Manager on 2nd January 2019.

Since the merger of Anglia Engineering Solutions with On Line Design & Engineering, it has become apparent that the enlarged integrated business is in the need of someone to develop new Clients and Business across all aspects of the company’s operations.

Paul originally started his career at Humber Chemical Focus in 2005 being responsible for all marketing and commercial activities for the public/private partnership (now part of CATCH). Whilst there Paul developed a keen interest in Engineering and Process Industries. After 3 1/2 years at HCF, Paul moved on to hold senior Marketing and Business Development roles at Grimley Smith Associates (now Fabricom Engie), the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and East Midlands Instrument Company. The opportunity with On Line Group is a perfect fit for Paul’s previous experience, bringing together knowledge and experience from related industries.

Although Paul’s main focus will be on developing new business for On Line Design, it is expected that he will also be involved in the same function with On Line People.

Originally from Hull, Paul went to university at De Montfort University, Leicester, and graduated with a BA in Marketing and HR. Paul currently lives in Caistor with his wife Jenny. Earlier this year Paul and Jenny were pleased to welcome a new addition to the family, Faye. As a Hull City Football fan, Paul will be encouraging Faye to become a lifelong Tigers fan.

New Group Headquarters Update

Following on from the purchase of 3 acres of land adjacent to On Line House on Pelham Road, and the construction of the new access road to service the plot.

In line with the Company’s policy of using local suppliers wherever possible, we engaged the services of Humberston based ID Architecture to assist us in developing our ideas, and after much careful thought and discussions have selected our preferred option.

An application has now been made for full planning permission for the development which takes the form of a south facing 3 story building with 2 separate wings separated by a central atrium. We hope to receive consent for the proposals early next year, and have already committed to the production of detailed design for the building.

Subject to no major problems arising with the planning or detail design process we anticipate being in a position to commence construction during the summer of next year, and hopefully occupy the building early in 2020.

We have just received the attached latest conceptual images for the new building from the architect’s – we hope you like them.
