Humberston apprentice wins award
William Burman aged 18, an Apprentice Pipefitter/Welder has won the 2014 HETA Apprentice Fabricator of the year award. Will, who lives in Humberston and is in the second year of a 4 year apprenticeship at Grimsby based Anglia Engineering Solutions Limited was recently presented with his shield at an awards ceremony at the Forest Pines golf resort in Broughton on Thursday 6th November 2014.
Although Will has been employed by AES since August 2013, he has only been working at the Grimsby firm for the past few months, having spent his first year on offsite training with HETA at the Catch facility in Stallingborough. However since joining AES he has already made an impression with the entire workforce and spent time on several sites both in Scotland and the Grimsby area.
Gary Carlton, Managing Director of Anglia Engineering Solutions said that Will is a pleasure to have with the Company and he can foresee that he will become an excellent Tradesman. Will is the youngest of 5 brothers, one of whom also works at AES as a welder, and he enjoys fishing, being with his girlfriend and driving his car. His father who also served his time as a welder is currently working as a QA Project Manager in Russia.

Will is seen receiving his award from Mr Dave Locking of Fenelon Storage Tanks who sponsored the award on behalf of HETA.
